Consumers for the Terrified – exploring new ways of involving consumers in the work of Cochrane

This interactive webinar is for anyone interested in sharing and learning about ways of involving consumers in Cochrane. The session will cover supporting review author teams at all stages of the review process, dissemination of Cochrane evidence and advocating for evidence to lay audiences.

A small panel will present examples of recent consumer involvement activities and new initiatives. This will be followed by a question and answer session with questions from webinar participants, submitted via the webinar platform during the session and afterwards using Twitter.

Topics will include new ways of getting involved and the latest news about the Cochrane Membership Scheme, the Cochrane Crowd/Citizen Science project, Task Exchange and Cochrane Training.  The webinar will also aim to gather further examples of current involvement activities, and to identify areas where participants would like to see increased support and resources

The webinar, which is part of the Cochrane Learning Live series, will be suitable for review authors, Managing Editors, Co-ordinating Editors, Cochrane Centre staff, consumers, and anyone interested in exploring ways of increasing the participation of consumers in the work of Cochrane.  It will be of interest to those people with experience of involving consumers who can share their experiences, and also those wishing to do more but unsure how to proceed.
