We are engaged is a variety of activities guided by Strategy 2020. The following are the key projects or programmes delivered in 2016-2017:

Cochrane Learning Live is a series of monthly webinars aimed at anyone interested in learning skills or gaining knowledge and experience relating to Cochrane activities.  The programme of speakers and the recordings of past webinars are available here.

Trainers' Week was a virtual conference organized for the first time in April 2016. The conference was a series of free online events open to everyone across the Trainers’ Network and beyond, with  a variety of creative and interactive events happening to give Cochrane's Trainers an opportunity to learn, and to learn from each other.  Webinar recordings and accompanying materials are available here.

Editor training and accreditation is a programme covering a broad range of activities, including the project 'Developing Core Competencies for Scientific Editors of Biomedical Journals', which is initiated and currently being led by by David Moher’s research team at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. Cochrane is providing partial funding for this work, and Learning and Support Department is a key collaborator. A scoping review published through this project is available here.

Cochrane Interactive Learning is a new set of nine modules, updating the previous online learning modules on conducting an intervention review.  The modules improve the didactic quality of the learning, and are on a technical e-learning platform that enables easier editing and updating, as well as tracking of learning progress.  Cochrane Interactive Learning modules are available here.

The ACTIVE (Authors and Consumers Together Impacting on eVidencE) project is about developing resources for authors to support user involvement. The project synthesised relevant evidence, information resources, and examples of active user-involvement in successfully completed reviews and report on these.  A learning module based on the ACTIVE project work, Involving People, is available here.

The Training Innovation Fund was set up to support a project that clearly showed an inventive or pioneering approach to meeting the needs of Cochrane’s learners. The Fund for 2016 has been awarded to Cochrane ClassMate, a trainer's toolkit to support and enhance evidence production activities with interactive microtasks. For more information click here.
