This is a recorded video slidecast presentation by Rob Scholten, director of Cochrane Netherlands, delivered at a two-day workshop hosted by Cochrane Netherlands.

This presentation explains why it is important to have a protocol for a systematic review. It also describes the elements of the Cochrane DTA Protocol and its structure in the RevMan software. Examples and tips for writing a good and readable protocol are given. Finally, some common errors in the protocols of DTA reviews are listed.
