There is a fast-track editorial process (http://community.cochrane.org/review-production/production-resources/fast-track-editorial-process), for experienced author teams, where the editorial tasks are managed centrally in collaboration with the review group.

Cochrane are currently piloting Living Systematic Reviews (http://community.cochrane.org/review-production/production-resources/living-systematic-reviews). LSRs are systematic reviews that are continually updated and incorporate new evidence as it becomes available. For CIS’ this means regular monitoring of the evidence, i.e. monthly searches.
